With Coexistence, I shot as much raw video as I could, hoping to capture some gems.  It was interesting to see the pros and cons of this production style.

Whatever Happens was originally just an audio project.  I decided to add the video elements for this website.

I created this portrait in Illustrator.  It had so many layers that I thought it might be interesting to turn it into a video using timelapse effects in AfterEffects.

Falling Down was a challenging foray into the world of 3D.

I had fun trying to apply the principles of video inside a software 3D environment.

Wolf Eel was another 3D environment, this time in AfterEffects.

All the layers are photographs given to me by my sister, who is a local diver.

about

There are few things about video post-production that don't interest John.  From video editing to database modeling to motion graphics, there's a never-ending supply of rabbit holes to lose oneself.

Outside of digital art, John enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, rockhunting and working in his garage.  The "5" in John5Productions.com is because John is the fifth generation; his father is the fourth John, etc.
